3 Traits of an Effective SEO Copywriter - Unique Content, Word Choice, Sentence Fluency

I still remember back in American International School, our professor Mr. Gary Bletsch always emphasized on the importance of 6 traits of writing that need to be present to make content interesting enough for the reader to stick to. However, in this article I shall only be focusing on 3 of them that truly relate to SEO copywriting and increased sales. I never knew that after roughly a decade of my life, SEO copywriting would become my profession allowing me to earn decent income.
What my professor said was 10 years back and things are still the same when it comes to SEO copywriting. In an ocean of stiff competition, your business needs high quality content that attracts readers, and converts them into potential customers of your new products or services. It is imperative for a SEO copywriter to have 3 traits of writing, which I am about to disclose here, present in every content they write. Here are these:
1. Ideas & Content - Content is king, right? No doubt about that. Not a day passes by when we see major changes taking place in Google and other search engines algorithm, making it next to impossible for spammers and copiers to rank well with low quality, rewritten, spun or bad content that simply does not rank well. Let me connect this situation with what my Language Arts professor expressed his views on this trait: "Class, if you lack ideas & content, you are nowhere to put your message across to the reader. Your essay should be written in a way as if a stranger is going to pick it out of no-where, walking under scorching heats of the desert. Write to that stranger and explain in a way that he understands everything. Your essay should be focused, clear, crisp with ideas, and should speak for itself to grab the attention of your readers."
Applying that same concept to SEO copywriting, we know how important it is to write unique content with exceptional ideas in order to rank well in search engine ranking pages. Ever since i have put my shoes in the field of SEO copywriting, my clients always give me orders for articles with the words "unique articles" in every project descriptions. Suppose your website is targeted towards dog lovers, it should have content that not only targets your intended audience, but also those that could become one of your target markets. Write in a way that even a layman, having no knowledge of dogs, visits your website and eventually starts developing interest in man's best friend.
Let us move to the next trait.
2. Word choice - Your choice reflects your personality. No doubt about that statement. Your choice in dressing, food, perfumes, sports and other aspects of life define your personality as a reserve, outgoing, casual, or friendly person. Similarly, the words you choose for your content put striking effect upon the reader. The same concept applies in content writing. When you write content for press releases, articles, or websites, keep in mind certain powerful words (I am not talking about keywords here) that could trigger a call to action. Instead of saying "Find out more about our services", use "Still confused? Request for a FREE quote now!" As being a professional in this field, I know how words can do wonders to your business. Using the right words can boost your sales in a matter of small time.
3. Sentence fluency - Have you ever been to a lake? Perhaps near a canal with flowing water? Have you ever put your hand in the flowing water and felt that cooling sensation? I am not sure how many of you live nearby a lake or even visited one, but I am pretty confident that you know what I am talking about. Fluency - the lifeblood of unique content - is the essence of every article that you should write. From start to finish your article should be consistent with the title, and focused on educating your reader. For instance, take this article. I started of by defining what the traits of writing, their importance to SEO, and then each one of the traits one by one with proper implications in the field of content writing.
Your sentence must connect with each other like a chain. You cannot talk about cats, while the topic is related to dogs.
